Cox’s Bazar beach is usually synonymous with bustling crowds, crashing waves and lively tourist activity.

Thousands of visitors flock to the Kolatoli, Sugandha and Laboni points every day, making it difficult for those seeking a quieter seaside experience.

Yet the world’s longest uninterrupted sandy beach still has a few peaceful corners where the noise fades away, leaving only the sound of the waves, the sea breeze and the beauty of nature. Shaibal Point is one such destination.

Located within Cox’s Bazar town, Shaibal Point is easily accessible but attracts far fewer visitors than the more popular sections of the beach.

From morning until late afternoon, the area generally remains calm, making it an ideal spot for those who want to enjoy the sea in a peaceful setting.

Visitors can relax under the kitkot beach umbrellas and chairs set up beside the casuarina grove, spending hours listening to the waves and enjoying the uninterrupted view of the Bay of Bengal.

The quiet surroundings provide a welcome escape from the rush of everyday life.

The journey to Shaibal Point is also part of the experience.

A narrow path beside Hotel Shaibal, passing the swimming pool and winding through a casuarina forest, leads directly to the beach.

The shaded walkway and serene atmosphere make it a popular place for photography and short walks.

The point can also be reached on foot from Laboni Point or Kobita Chattar by walking along the shoreline for a few minutes.

For travellers looking to experience Cox’s Bazar beyond its crowded tourist hubs, Shaibal Point offers a peaceful alternative.

It is a place to enjoy the sea, unwind in nature, and spend a few quiet moments away from the crowds.

Sometimes the most memorable travel experiences are not created by grand attractions, but by simply sitting on a quiet beach and listening to the rhythm of the waves.

Shaibal Point is one of those rare places where silence becomes part of the experience.
