Shamsunnahar Jr. scored a timely goal in the dying moment as Bangladesh came from behind forcing Pakistan to play a 1-1 goal draw in their opening group A match of the SAFF Women’s Championship held at Dasharath Rangasal Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday.

In the proceeding, Zahmena Samin Malik scored for Pakistan in the first half while Shamsunnahar Jr. netted for Bangladesh in the dying moment of the match.

The day’s draw means, both Bangladesh and Pakistan have collected one point but Bangladesh have one more match in hand and they will face mighty India in their last group match on Wednesday (Oct 23). Bangladesh will need only a draw against India to confirm their spot in the semi-final.
