Cox’s Bazar, January 10: Reflecting on the historic 36-Day July Movement, Cultural Affairs Advisor Mustafa Sarwar Farooki stated that the way people stood alongside the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) exemplified the essence of our culture.

He highlighted that collective efforts—be they responding to floods, guarding Hindu temples, or assisting students in managing traffic—represent the true spirit of our nation’s heritage.

“We must preserve this culture of unity beyond party lines,” he said.

Farooki delivered these remarks as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Cox’s Bazar District Book Fair on Friday evening at the Baharchhara Bir Muktijoddha (Roundabout) Ground.

He also emphasized, “We have initiated a journey of change, which has transformed the people’s expectations. Future elected officials must maintain this momentum.

Under the slogan, “Let’s Change the Nation, Let’s Change the World,” the grand nine-day book fair commenced enthusiastically and will run until January 18.
