Cox’s Bazar’s scenic Marine Drive has regained its charm as clear skies and gentle sunshine returned following days of persistent rain and adverse weather.
The improvement in weather has drawn tourists and local residents back to one of the country’s most picturesque coastal roads. The stretch beyond Kolatoli beach, lined with lush greenery, clean roads and breathtaking natural scenery, once again offered visitors an ideal setting for sightseeing and leisure.
Although the sun peeked through the clouds from the morning, temperatures remained pleasant. With the sea on one side and green hills on the other, the coastal road presented a refreshing landscape after nearly a week of heavy rainfall.
Many tourists took advantage of the favourable weather to explore the Marine Drive with family and friends. Some tourists took photographs, while others simply enjoyed the tranquil surroundings and cool sea breeze.
Md Raihan, a tourist visiting Cox’s Bazar, said he had been unable to go out because of the continuous rain over the past several days.
“Today’s weather is beautiful. We came to Marine Drive and the greenery and clean surroundings are truly refreshing,” he said.
Local businessman Abdul Kader said the return of favourable weather had encouraged tourists to venture outdoors again, bringing a gradual recovery to tourism-dependent businesses.
Local residents and business owners expressed hope that tourist arrivals would continue to increase in the coming days if the weather remains favourable, helping Cox’s Bazar’s tourism industry return to normal.
