Hundreds of tourists travel along the picturesque Cox’s Bazar–Teknaf Marine Drive daily. Amid the natural beauty, one unique sight draws special attention—rows of fresh, ripe bananas neatly displayed at Shaplapur, a scenic stop along the route.
Unlike the city markets, the bananas sold here are notably large, fresh, and flavorful, earning a reputation among travelers for their superior quality. Local vendor Salimullah, who sells bananas at this roadside stall, shared that he sources them directly from his village to offer tourists a taste of something special.
These bananas are affordable and delicious, priced between Tk 20 and Tk 30 per pair. Visitors happily make a stop, enjoying the refreshing snack as part of their coastal journey. What was once a quiet roadside spot has become a sweet highlight of the Marine Drive experience.
