Newly elected Member of Parliament from Cox’s Bazar-2 (Maheshkhali–Kutubdia), Alamgir Mohammad Mahfuz Ullah Farid, paid a courtesy call on BNP chairman Tarique Rahman at the party’s chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The meeting took place at around 10:30 pm on Saturday (14 February). In a Facebook post, Farid said he was warmly received by Tarique Rahman during the visit.
According to Farid, the BNP chairman greeted him by saying, “Come, Farid, come closer. Convey my salutations to the people of Moheshkhali and Kutubdia.”
He added that Tarique Rahman expressed immense satisfaction over his electoral victory and extended his greetings to the residents of Moheshkhali and Kutubdia.
The meeting also included discussions on the overall situation in the constituency and future organisational activities.
