Nestled in Jahazpura village under the Shilkhali Range of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, lies a 200-year-old Garjan forest that has become an emerging tourist attraction. Local and international travelers flock to this natural wonder to experience its serene beauty and unique environment.
The forest is a nature lover’s paradise, offering an enchanting landscape with towering Garjan trees standing in perfectly aligned rows. Hiking through the forest leads visitors to scenic hilltops with breathtaking views of the nearby sea.
Located 55 kilometers southeast of Cox’s Bazar along the Marine Drive Road, the forest spans 11,615 hectares and boasts over 5,772 Garjan trees. These majestic trees, some towering 70 to 80 feet with trunks measuring 10 to 12 feet in diameter, have silently witnessed the passage of two centuries.
