The maximum temperature in Cox’s Bazar was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius on Monday. Although relatively high, the temperature remains within a tolerable range, according to the local weather office. Partly cloudy skies for most of the day helped reduce the intensity of the heat.

Assistant meteorologist, Md. Abdul Hannan of the Cox’s Bazar weather office said that, based on current conditions, rainfall is likely to begin Tuesday afternoon. He added that light to moderate rain is expected after the afternoon, which may continue for several days.

He also said that temperatures are likely to remain within a comfortable range throughout the week, which could ease the recent heat and bring some relief to daily life.

Meanwhile, the weather authorities have advised both tourists and local residents to remain cautious during the ongoing heat. Authorities have urged people, particularly those outdoors, to stay updated with the latest weather information.

With the tourist season ongoing in Cox’s Bazar, such weather changes may slightly affect travel plans. However, rainfall is also expected to make the environment more comfortable by lowering temperatures.
