In 2010, the authority installed the “Shark Sculpture” at Kolatoli , the city’s entrance, to enhance the beauty of Cox’s Bazar’s tourism zone.

Although designed to represent various shark species, it is more popularly known as the “Dolphin Sculpture.”

Due to this nickname, the area has gained widespread recognition as “Dolphin Mor” (Dolphin Roundabout), although some still refer to it as Kolatoli Mor.

Serving as the gateway to the city for tourists, Dolphin Mor is a central hub. From here, the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive begins, leading visitors to Teknaf, while Kolatoli Beach is just a short descent away.

On the other side, the main road connects travelers to the city’s other prominent tourist attractions, making Dolphin Mor a symbolic and functional entry point into the wonders of Cox’s bazaar.
