The annual school holidays and the weekend have brought many tourists to Cox’s Bazar sea beach. The city’s over 500 hotels, motels, resorts, and guesthouses in Kolatoli and surrounding areas are fully booked, leaving no available rooms for visitors.

Tourism industry stakeholders and hotel owners report that the tourist flow to Cox’s Bazar began earlier this month. Hundreds of thousands of tourists visit the city daily, doubling numbers during weekends or special holidays.

Abul Kashem Sikder, President of the Cox’s Bazar Hotel-Motel and Guesthouse Owners Association, said most hotel rooms are already booked until December 31. He advised tourists to make reservations online before traveling to Cox’s Bazar to avoid inconvenience.

This overwhelming tourist turnout reflects the city’s enduring popularity as a prime holiday destination in Bangladesh.
