The banks of the Bakkhali River near the Kasturaghat area in Cox’s Bazar town have become a popular leisure spot for locals and tourists alike. The area has become increasingly attractive, particularly after the construction of the new Khurushkul bridge.

Rows of anchored boats along the riverbank, along with the occasional movement of trawlers, create a scenic setting that draws visitors. The area becomes especially lively in the afternoon, as families, groups of friends, and young people gather to spend time outdoors.

Many visitors come to the riverbank to relax in the calm surroundings and enjoy the area’s natural beauty.

According to locals, improved accessibility following the opening of the Khurushkul bridge has led to a steady rise in visitor numbers. Several new restaurants have also opened nearby, offering guests the opportunity to dine while enjoying river views.

With its peaceful environment, scenic landscape, and improved connectivity, the Bakkhali riverbank at Kasturaghat is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most attractive places to visit in Cox’s Bazar town.
