United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres visited the Rohingya Cultural Memory Center (RCMC) at Camp-18 in Ukhiya’s Rohingya refugee settlement on Friday (March 14).

Following his arrival in Cox’s Bazar earlier in the day, Guterres traveled to the refugee camps. He first toured a learning center before visiting the RCMC. During his visit, he explored exhibits showcasing Rohingya heritage and traditions.

Later, he addressed the media, sharing his observations on the plight and resilience of the displaced Rohingya community.

In the evening, the Secretary-General is scheduled to join Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and thousands of Rohingya refugees for a grand Iftar gathering before departing for Dhaka later at night.
