Cox’s Bazar International University hosted a lively and colourful Pitha Utsab (traditional cake festival) on Monday (January 13). Students and faculty across all departments enthusiastically participated, filling the university auditorium with excitement and camaraderie.

From early morning, students gathered in the auditorium, setting up stalls to showcase a variety of homemade pithas (traditional cakes). The assortment of flavours and designs created a visual and culinary treat that captivated everyone in attendance.  The students’ joy and creativity turned the festival into a vibrant celebration.

Lion Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, the university’s founder and chairman, inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon to open the festivities officially. He also visited the beautifully decorated stalls and commended the students for their artistic efforts. Mohammad Imran, Director of International Marketing and Business Development at Eurasia Germany, attended the festival and expressed his delight at the students’ tasteful and well-organized presentation.

In his speech, Chairman Mujibur Rahman thanked the teachers and students for organizing a splendid event highlighting cultural heritage.

The festival was graced by prominent university figures, including Academic Advisor Professor Sadat Zaman Khan, Foreign Affairs Advisor Asaduzzaman Roni, HR Director Khorshed Alam, Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies Mohammad Hamidur Rahman, and Dean Badiul Alam, along with other faculty members and staff.
