In Cox’s Bazar, the volunteer organization Lal Shobuj Unnayan Songho distributed educational materials, including notebooks and pens, to underprivileged students on the beach, using money saved from their daily tiffins.

The Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Office hosted the program on Saturday (27 December)—the Additional DIG of the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police, Md. Apel Mahmud inaugurated the event.

Present at the occasion were Kausar Alam Sohel, founder and central president of Lal Shobuj Unnayan Songho; central member Sabrina Rahman Sammy; organizational secretary of the Comilla branch Shahadat Hossain; publicity secretary Shakil Molla; member Nasim Bhuiya; and local members Azim and Faruk, among others.

Kausar Alam Sohel highlighted that all members of the organization are students from schools, colleges, and universities. They save money from their tiffins to buy educational materials, which they then distribute to children in need across various districts.

He added that members from Comilla visited Cox’s Bazar to inaugurate the program, which will continue over the next three days along the city’s beaches. Founded in 2011 in Comilla, Lal Shobuj Unnayan Songho has been working nationwide to support underprivileged children through voluntary initiatives.
