Bangladesh Meteorological Department has kept Local Warning Signal No. 3 in force at four major sea ports of the country.
In a maritime weather bulletin issued on Wednesday (April 29), the department said that variations in air pressure continue over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.
As a result, the ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist Local Warning Signal No. 3.
Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay of Bengal have been instructed to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
The meteorological department had issued a similar warning for all four sea ports on Tuesday (April 28) as well.
