On the last Friday of 2025, a large number of devout Muslims gathered across Cox’s Bazar district to offer the sacred Jumu’ah prayers.
On this final Friday of the year, worshippers displayed heightened religious sentiment and spiritual devotion.
After the Jumu’ah prayers, attendees raised their hands in special supplications, seeking Allah’s forgiveness for past mistakes and striving to attain His pleasure.
Prayers were also offered for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the country, nation, and the global Muslim community.
In almost all mosques of the district—including Badr Mokam Jame Mosque, the two Model Mosques, Baharchhara, Jhautola, Bazarghata, Fire Service, and Tekpara mosques—large crowds were observed.
Due to space constraints, many worshippers performed prayers on the mosque verandas and surrounding open areas.
The imams emphasized self-purification, attaining piety, and leading a morally and religiously upright life in the coming year during their khutbahs.
Local worshippers noted that the religious atmosphere across Cox’s Bazar felt especially vibrant on this year-end Friday.
