Amidst the lush green hills, 24-year-old Mohammad Imran’s thriving banana plantation is a beacon of hope and opportunity. With a sustainable approach to agriculture, his initiative has created employment for 50 individuals and offered them a steady livelihood.
The hilly regions cultivate bananas year-round, and Imran’s venture is promising due to their consistent demand. Over time, his efforts have paved the way for economic growth in the area. Imran shared that his plantation produces large quantities of bananas, sold even in the remote regions of Cox’s Bazar, despite the challenges of navigating rugged terrain.

Leasing 50 gonda (approximately 1.65 acres) of hilly land, Imran has planted over 500 banana trees. After covering all expenses, he earns a monthly profit of Tk50,000. His plantation, dotted with areca nut (betel nut) trees, further diversifies his sources of income in addition to banana cultivation.
Besides managing the plantation, Imran is involved in driving and beach photography, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to building a prosperous future.
