Local fishermen are busy crafting fishing traps locally known as ‘China Jaal’—a traditional method coastal fishermen use to catch native shrimp and crabs. According to local fishermen, these traps are set during low tide in the sea. Seawater flows into nearby canals and wetlands as the tide rises, carrying shrimp and crabs. That’s when the traps come into action, enabling the fishermen to make their catch.
