In the heart of Cox’s Bazar, near the Jhautola area, lies a unique attraction that brings the underwater world to life—Radiant Fish World, an international-standard fish aquarium and museum that has become a tourist must-visit destination.
This marine-themed complex houses nearly 100 species of saltwater and freshwater fish, including rare and exotic varieties such as sharks, piranhas, alligator fish (Shaplapata), leaf fish (Panpata), turtles, crabs, sea corals, electric fish (Pitambari), eels, jellyfish, Chewa, pangas, and Aush. The displays also feature other aquatic creatures that recreate the vibrant biodiversity found in ponds and the depths of the sea.
Designed to simulate the underwater environment, the aquarium provides an immersive experience that takes about 40 minutes to explore fully. As you walk through the corridors surrounded by colorful marine life, you feel like you’re diving beneath the ocean surface—an unforgettable journey, especially for families and children.
Built at a cost of Tk 100 crore, Radiant Fish World offers much more than aquatic exhibits. It features a 3d and 9d movie theatre, a live fish restaurant, an aviary with local and exotic bird species, a children’s play area, an attractive digital photo lab, and rooftop facilities for natural relaxation and barbecue experiences.
For visitors to Cox’s Bazar, this is a rare opportunity to witness the hidden wonders of the marine world without getting wet. Missing it would be like skipping a dive into the colorful soul of the sea.
