A meeting focused on waste management was held at the Palongkhali Union Council, an area predominantly inhabited by Rohingyas in Ukhiya.
The event was organized by the Bangladesh Railway Station Society and chaired by the Union Council Chairman, M. Gofur Uddin Chowdhury. The meeting called for increased responsibility from local stakeholders to maintain a pollution-free environment in the union.
Following the meeting, a delegation of Union Council Chairmen and members from at least 11 unions in Khulna and Satkhira visited the ongoing waste management project in Palongkhali to gain insights and share knowledge on better management practices.
