Nasrin Jahan, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, arrived in Cox’s Bazar on Friday for an official visit to oversee ongoing development initiatives to upgrade the Cox’s Bazar Airport to international standards.
During her visit, she was accompanied by Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mofidur Rahman Bhuiyan, Project Director Md Yunus Bhuiyan, and other officials.
During the visit, the Secretary inspected two major infrastructure projects: the runway expansion and constructing a new international passenger terminal at Cox’s Bazar Airport.
In addition to the airport site visits, she toured nearby residential areas affected by the development work. She issued directives to relevant authorities to resolve land acquisition-related complications by legal procedures, ensuring residents’ rights are respected.
