A high-level delegation from the Embassy of Switzerland in Dhaka visited the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, on Monday to observe ongoing humanitarian and development initiatives firsthand.
The four-member team toured Kutupalong Camp-4 as well as Balukhali Camps 17, 18, and 8 West, where they reviewed various support programs being implemented for the Rohingya community.
The delegation was led by Irene Hofstetter, Nexus Manager at the Swiss Embassy. She was accompanied by Marc Dietrich, Nexus Program Manager, and Priyanka Majumdar, Officer for Humanitarian Aid and Nexus Programs.
During the visit, the team also inspected the Data Registration Center in Camp-4 and was briefed on its operations and service delivery.
This field visit allowed the Swiss representatives to gather valuable insights into the current progress of aid efforts and to assess future priorities for supporting the displaced Rohingya population.
