On a rainy day along the Cox’s Bazar coastline, groups of local fishermen are seen casting their nets in the shallow waters of the sea. Due to rough weather conditions and the hoisting of Signal No. 3, fishing trawlers have returned to shore, prompting fishermen to continue their seasonal catch closer to land.

As strong waves crash in and heavy rain pours down, the fishermen are repeatedly casting and pulling in their nets just off the shoreline. Sources indicate that they are targeting a variety of small marine fish, especially bagda (tiger prawn) fry, which are abundant during the monsoon season.

The scene at Inani Beach was one of sheer determination and joy, as fishermen raced against the roaring waves—nets in hand—celebrating the bounty of the sea despite the stormy skies.
