Despite it being a weekday with no public holiday, a large number of tourists have gathered at Cox’s Bazar, filling its popular beach points—Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni—with vibrant crowds. Visitors from across the country have arrived to enjoy the sea, even as the monsoon rains and rough waters have prompted authorities to hoist cautionary Signal No. 3 along the coast.

The sea waves, higher and fiercer than usual, continue to crash onto the shores. Yet, many tourists have been seen entering the water, cheering and enjoying themselves amidst the turbulent surf. Red flags have been placed along various beach points, warning swimmers of danger.

Lifeguard teams are working to ensure tourist safety, repeatedly urging visitors not to venture deep into the water. However, some tourists are ignoring these warnings, raising concerns about potential accidents.

Local authorities and the tourist police have issued safety advisories, requesting visitors to refrain from swimming in the sea until weather conditions improve.

Despite these warnings, the areas around the beach have transformed into a festive hub, with visitors soaking in the vibrant monsoon atmosphere. Cox’s Bazar currently carries a carnival-like spirit, as tourists embrace the sea with cautious joy.
