From early morning, the sky over Cox’s Bazar remained partly cloudy with a gentle breeze blowing in from the sea. As the day progressed, rain showers arrived, followed by bright sunshine once again. Amid this mix of sun and rain, thousands of tourists flocked to the Cox’s Bazar beach, enjoying sea baths and the rhythmic waves.
A visit to various points along the beach revealed that the monsoon season has not deterred tourists. At Sugandha and Laboni points, thousands of visitors were seen finding peace in the salty waves, some venturing into knee-deep water while others enjoyed full sea baths. Families and loved ones were seen spending joyful moments together along the shore.
With the sea remaining rough, lifeguards were seen actively alerting tourists and providing safety instructions to those entering the water.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued local cautionary signal No. 3 for the country’s four seaports. Fishing boats and trawlers in the Bay of Bengal have been advised to navigate with caution due to the rough sea conditions.
