The 95th Scout Unit Leader Basic Course 2035 has been inaugurated in Cox’s Bazar. On July 2, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin formally opened the course at the auditorium of Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy School and College in the town.
Speaking as the chief guest, he said that scouting is an initiation program that inspires the youth. “Scouting teaches loyalty to the Creator, closeness to people, a connection to the earth, and a deep sense of patriotism. By understanding the principles of scouting, one can become an enlightened person. Scout members can present themselves well and highlight the beauty in others,” he added.
The program was presided over by MM Sirajul Islam, Regional Deputy Commissioner (Chattogram Region). In his remarks, he said, “Scouting frees people from bigotry.”
The welcome address was delivered by the Course Leader and General Secretary of Bangladesh Scouts Cox’s Bazar District Branch, Md. Ansarul Karim.
Special guests included Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Nizam Uddin, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Saiful Farhad, and Additional District Magistrate Shahidul Alam, who also addressed the program.
