After days of heavy rain, Cox’s Bazar is now enjoying bright, sunny weather. Not a drop of rain fell throughout the day. Taking advantage of the clear skies on the Friday–Saturday weekend, thousands of tourists poured onto the beach.
Along with enjoying sea bathing, large crowds flocked to Himchari in the afternoon, creating a lively scene. The number of vehicles along Marine Drive also swelled. A visit to Himchari revealed both sides of the road packed with thousands of tomtoms, CNG-run auto-rickshaws, and covered jeeps.
Tourists said they had expected rainfall during the monsoon season, but were pleasantly surprised by the sunshine. “We thought it would rain in Cox’s Bazar, but found bright sun instead. So we enjoyed the beach and came to explore Marine Drive as well,” one visitor shared.
Tourism traders in Himchari reported that in recent days business had been slow due to bad weather and fewer visitors. But with conditions improving, crowds have returned, and businesses are once again bustling with activity.
