Cox’s Bazar, the country’s top tourist destination, has welcomed its first-ever international courier service as Aramex formally launched its local agent branch in the city.

The branch was inaugurated on Saturday on the ground floor of Islam Tower near the Burmese Market. It allows customers to send parcels directly from Cox’s Bazar, eliminating the need to rely on Dhaka-based services.

Aramex is a globally renowned logistics company that operates in nearly 220 countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the USA.

The new service will enable residents and businesses to easily send documents, goods, and parcels worldwide.

“This will save time and effort for locals. They no longer need to depend on Dhaka for international shipments,” said Nisan, branch manager of Aramex Cox’s Bazar.

Local business owners believe the service will particularly benefit small and medium enterprises, online shops, exporters, and handicraft makers, opening new opportunities for them in the global market.

Stakeholders expect Aramex’s presence to mark a new chapter for trade and tourism in Cox’s Bazar.
