An unusual weather pattern has gripped Cox’s Bazar—scorching sunshine one moment, sudden rain the next.

This playful tug-of-war between sun and showers has left nature confused and both locals and tourists in discomfort.

For the past week, residents of the coastal town have been enduring relentless heat. By midday, the blazing sun makes it difficult to step outside.

Many are seeking relief in cold drinks, sea breezes, or shaded corners along the beach.

According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, a cyclone is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal.

Its early influence is causing fluctuations in temperature and humidity along the coast, leading to this erratic mix of heat and rainfall.

Meteorologists predict that temperatures may drop slightly in the coming days as rainfall increases.

However, the eventual path and intensity of the cyclone will depend on how the low-pressure system develops over the sea.

Locals continue to grapple with the oppressive heat, while the unpredictable weather also catches tourists off guard.

Burned by the sun and soaked by the rain, many are now describing the changing mood of Cox’s Bazar’s weather as “a strange game of heat and drizzle.”
