The chill of winter has begun to touch Cox’s Bazar, and the city’s bustling Boro Bazar is wearing a new look — filled with the fresh, earthy scent of cauliflower. From early morning, farmers and traders arrive with piles of freshly harvested cauliflowers, their white and green hues painting a picture of the season’s arrival.

The market is buzzing with buyers and sellers. Small traders are also seizing the moment, buying cauliflowers in bulk and delivering them by vans and trolleys across the town. The result — smiles on farmers’ faces and a festive vibe all around the marketplace.

Vendors say each cauliflower is selling for Tk 40 to Tk 50, depending on size and quality. Farmers note that favorable weather conditions have led to a promising harvest, ensuring a steady supply throughout the season.

As the cool breeze mingles with the aroma of fresh vegetables, the abundance of cauliflower in Cox’s Bazar’s main market sends a gentle signal — winter has arrived, wrapped in the scent of freshness.
