UK Minister for International Development Baroness Jenny Chapman visited the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, on Thursday (November 13).

During her visit to the Balukhali camp in the morning, she observed various ongoing humanitarian activities and interacted with Rohingya children at a learning center.

The minister also met with officials from humanitarian organizations to discuss the living conditions of Rohingya refugees, progress in aid operations, and the importance of continued international cooperation.

Baroness Chapman reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s efforts for the safe and voluntary repatriation of the Rohingya, alongside ongoing humanitarian assistance.

As part of her daylong trip, the minister is scheduled to visit several other camps before returning to Dhaka later in the day.
