A daylong training workshop on sports journalism was held in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday, organized by the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) and attended by journalists working across print, electronic, and multimedia platforms.
The workshop took place at the Cox’s Bazar Zila Parishad auditorium, formally inaugurated at 10:00 am by BSPA Central General Secretary and Manab Zamin journalist, Mr. Samon Hossain.
Throughout the day, multiple sessions were conducted focusing on different branches of sports journalism. BBC Bangla journalist Mr. Fayzal Titumir led two sessions: Sports Journalism in Electronic Media and Sports Journalism in Multimedia. Journalist Mr. Sudipta Ahmed Anondo, from the daily Desh Rupantar, conducted the session on sports journalism in print media.
BSPA Central General Secretary Mr. Samon Hossain also delivered special remarks, emphasizing the evolving role of sports journalism in Bangladesh’s media landscape.
BSPA Cox’s Bazar Convenor M.R. Mahbub coordinated the event, and Member Secretary Ahsan Sumon moderated the entire program.
The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony in the afternoon, where participants were awarded certificates and commemorative crests in recognition of their participation.
