A briefing session for polling officials was held in Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the 2026 Referendum. The session, organised by the Upazila Election Office, Maheshkhali, took place on Tuesday, 27 January, at Moheshkhali Government Model High School.

Md. A. Mannan, the Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar and Returning Officer, attended the briefing as the chief guest. Cox’s Bazar Superintendent of Police A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman and District Election Officer Md. Aziz were present as special guests.

The session covered key aspects of the upcoming election, including the electoral code of conduct, polling centre security, law and order measures, responsibilities of polling officials, and the overall voting process. 

Emphasis was placed on ensuring that officials perform their duties professionally, impartially, and with integrity to guarantee free, fair, and peaceful elections.

Following the briefing, the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police conducted on-site inspections of multiple polling stations in Maheshkhali. During the visits, they assessed security arrangements, infrastructure readiness, staffing capabilities, and overall preparedness, providing officials with the guidance needed to ensure a smooth, credible election process.
