BNP Standing Committee member and Dhanshish candidate for Cox’s Bazar-1, Salahuddin Ahmed, continued his intensive election campaign across Chakaria and Pekua on Saturday.

On the eighth day of campaigning, he held public outreach in Chakaria Municipality. At the start of his visits, he paid respects at the grave of the late prominent Islamic scholar Maulana Mahmudur Rahman.

He then visited multiple wards, including Bimanbandar Para, Jalia Para, Hindu Para, Amainnar Char, and Halkakara, interacting directly with local residents.

Large crowds comprising men, women, and people from various walks of life attended the gatherings, where Salahuddin Ahmed urged them to vote for the Dhanshish symbol.

At a rally in Kazipara, Chakoaia, he said, “We are the strength of Bangladesh. If you vote for Dhanshish, a strong democratic system will be established in the country, ensuring that no one’s voting rights are ever denied. We will fully protect democratic and human rights.

He added, “Our children, through student movements and sacrifices, have fought to secure democracy. Now, it is our duty to guarantee that voting rights never require bloodshed. This is the time to make the right decision for the strength of Bangladesh, for the legacy of our Liberation War.”

Salahuddin Ahmed also highlighted BNP’s historical contributions: “The Bangladesh Nationalist Party founded multiparty democracy and a proven party in governance and development. Under the leadership of the late President Ziaur Rahman and party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, BNP has played a commendable role in education, women’s empowerment, and state administration.”

He concluded, “On 12 February, by casting votes for Dhanshish throughout the day, Inshaa Allah, we will build a peaceful, secure, well-governed, and democratic Bangladesh.”

Chakaria Municipality BNP convener Nurul Islam Haider, secretary Abdur Rahim, and other party leaders and activists were present at the events.
