Fishing communities in the Bhangar Mor area are going through a sluggish period as the sea is yielding far fewer fish than expected. Fisherman Rashid Hossain said winter is typically a lean season, discouraging boat owners from investing. A single fishing trip costs around Tk5,000–6,000 and can result in a complete loss if the catch is poor. The fishers remain hopeful that catches will return to normal once the season ends.
