A group of young people from Sonar Para village in the Pechar Dwip area of Ukhia have marked Eid-ul-Fitr with a unique and memorable initiative, celebrating the festival in matching outfits.

To make the occasion special, the youths wore identical jubbas and turbans of the same colour and design, creating a distinctive festive atmosphere in the area.

From early morning on Eid day, a joyful mood prevailed among them, with friends helping each other adjust their attire and taking group photos that reflected strong bonds of friendship and unity.

Rakib Hossain, a participant, said they all live in Sonar Para village and grew up together, studying at the same school.

Although they are now pursuing higher education at different universities, Eid remains a time when they reunite.

Another participant, Alauddin, said that their studies keep them in different cities, such as Dhaka, Chattogram, and Rajshahi, but Eid provides an opportunity to come together.

They said that wearing coordinated outfits has become an annual tradition to make the day memorable. After offering Eid prayers, they set out in groups to visit different places.

Rifat Hossain said they went out immediately after prayers and planned to spend the entire day together.

Imon added that they would visit various points along the sea beach and planned to travel to different tourist destinations in Cox’s Bazar, Teknaf, and Bandarban in the following days.

The initiative has drawn appreciation from local residents, as the youths showcased the true spirit of Eid through friendship, unity, and shared joy.
