The sky remained overcast throughout the day, with intermittent light rain adding to the tranquil atmosphere.
Far from discouraging visitors, the weather appeared to enhance their experience, as many were seen strolling along the shore with umbrellas, wearing raincoats or simply enjoying the rain while watching the waves.
Laboni, Sugandha and Kolatoli beach points witnessed a steady flow of visitors despite the wet weather.
Many tourists said Cox’s Bazar offers an entirely different experience during the monsoon.
The overcast sky, cool breeze, light rain, and rough sea create a unique setting that is exclusive to the monsoon season.
Ignoring the drizzle, families and groups of friends continued to explore the beach, taking photographs and spending time by the sea.
Local tourism entrepreneur Russell said tourist arrivals had remained steady throughout the monsoon season.
He expressed hope that visitor numbers would increase further on weekends, provided that weather conditions remained favourable.
With its dramatic skies, rolling waves and refreshing monsoon ambience, Cox’s Bazar continues to offer a distinctive coastal experience, making the rainy season an increasingly attractive time for nature lovers and travellers alike.
