At Inani Beach, people whose livelihoods depend on tourism were seen waiting under the scorching sun for customers. Beach bike rider Samad Hasan stood with an umbrella, saying tourist numbers are limited on regular days, leaving riders waiting by the roadside. Photographers were also seen standing together in a queue, waiting for tourists to take photos. Local swing seller Nur Islam said swings priced between Tk250 and Tk5,000 are available in different designs, and he also makes and sells hammocks based on tourists’ preferences.
