Cox’s Bazar’s hotel landscape has added an international five-star chain with the arrival of Ramada by Wyndham Cox’s Bazar, located near Kolatali beach and about five kilometres from Cox’s Bazar International Airport.
Part of the global Ramada brand under US-based Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the hotel has 144 rooms and suites. Hotel authorities say it is the first five-star hotel in Cox’s Bazar from an international chain.
The property offers Presidential, Royal and Panorama suites, along with Executive Super Deluxe, Super Deluxe, Ocean Front King/Twin and Standard Hill King/Twin rooms. Room facilities include flat-screen HDTVs, safes, minibars, coffee and tea makers, washer-dryers, air purifiers, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, and in-room water purification systems. Several rooms offer sea or hill views.
A key feature is the rooftop heated infinity pool overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Guests can use the heated pool in winter while enjoying sea views. The hotel also has a spa, steam room, sauna and fitness centre.
Ramada by Wyndham Cox’s Bazar Room Division Manager Shahadat Hossain said the hotel’s distinctive facilities include a rooftop heated infinity pool, an in-room water purification system, the Ocean Lounge, and live barbecue service.
The Ocean Lounge beside the pool offers live barbecue, steak and other food items in the evening. The hotel also organises theme nights, music and DJ events on special occasions.
For dining, Sonali restaurant serves local and international cuisine, including buffet breakfast with a live egg station and pastries. Rare restaurant offers seafood and fine dining.
Families can use the kids’ club, game room and play zone, while child-friendly food options are also available. The hotel has four event venues covering around 7,672 square metres for corporate programmes, seminars, weddings and other social events.
According to the hotel, the regular Presidential Suite rate is up to Tk2.75 lakh, while an offer brings it down to around Tk1.85 lakh. The Royal Suite is available at around Tk65,000 instead of Tk85,000, while Panorama, Executive Super Deluxe, and Super Deluxe rooms are offered at around Tk35,000, Tk25,500,, and Tk20,50,0, respectively.
Ocean Front and Standard Hill rooms, normally Tk20,000, are available from around Tk10,000 under the current offer. Rates may vary depending on availability, offers, taxes, and service charges.
