Rent-a-bike services are becoming increasingly popular in Cox’s Bazar, with tourists renting bikes and scooters from stations along Marine Drive. According to traders in the business, there are over 30 stations stretching from Sugandha to the end of Marine Drive Road. Md. Abdul Baten, a bike rental operator, said his station has 11 bikes available for hire. While helmets are provided with rentals, many tourists ride without them, raising safety concerns. Additionally, ongoing renovation work on the winding Marine Drive Road poses further risks for accidents. Locals hope that tourists will prioritize safety and that authorities will implement appropriate measures to ensure a safer experience.
