Traffic congestion is common on the Reju Khal bridge along Cox’s Bazar’s Marine Drive. The bridge’s narrow lanes struggle to accommodate the high volume of vehicles passing daily, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when long queues of tourists add to the delay.

This route connects visitors to popular attractions like Cox’s Bazar, Daria Nagar, Himchari, Inani Beach, Patuar Tek, and Teknaf.

Traffic is typically heaviest from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, causing tourists discomfort. In contrast, congestion is more manageable from 8:00AM to 2:00PM. Residents suggest planning travel around these hours to reduce wait times.

Meanwhile, a new bridge is under construction to alleviate congestion. Designed in the traditional style of a Cox’s Bazar sampan boat, this bridge is being built by MIST and is progressing quickly.
