Cox’s Bazar, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and home to the world’s longest sea beach, which extends 120 kilometers, is one of Bangladesh’s most popular tourist destinations.

With the onset of the winter season, thousands of tourists are flocking to Cox’s Bazar daily. However, many visitors face challenges upon arrival, ranging from issues with hotel bookings to transportation woes. Disputes over hotel rates tend to top the list of inconveniences.

Other common complaints include inflated transport fares, persistent beach photographers, and mobile vendors along the shorelines.

Addressing these issues, over 100 experienced tour operators in Cox’s Bazar have been actively working to improve the tourist experience.

Mizanur Rahman Milky, convener of the Tour Operator Owners Association of Cox’s Bazar, advises tourists to book hotels in advance to avoid last-minute complications.

He emphasizes the importance of finalizing room rates beforehand. For those preferring on-the-spot bookings, he suggests avoiding recommendations from auto-rickshaw drivers and personally inspecting rooms before confirming a stay.

Moreover, he highlights the availability of numerous reputable travel agencies in Cox’s Bazar that can assist visitors with pre-arranged bookings and travel plans.

By planning and seeking guidance from these operators, tourists can ensure a hassle-free and enjoyable trip to this iconic destination, said the tour operators.
