The flood water has started receding steadily from the inundated areas in Cox’s Bazar as there was no rain all day on Thursday.
Talking to Cox’s Bazar Life, Vibhishan Kanti Das, additional deputy commissioner (revenue) and deputy commissioner (on routine duty) of Cox’s Bazar said that Ramu, Eidgaon, Chakria, Pekua, and Teknaf upazilas of Cox’s Bazar were flooded due to heavy rain. The water is going down there was no rain on Thursday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Yamin Hossain said that 85 metric tons of rice have been allocated in the flood-affected upazila.
Among them, 20 MT to Teknaf, 10 to Ramu, Eidgaon, Chakria, and Pekua each, and 5 metric tons to Cox’s Bazar municipality have been allotted. They will continue the relief operations.
