The Cox’s Bazar District Branch of the Bangladesh Restaurant Owners’ Association held its bi-annual general meeting and council on December 12.
The event took place at the conference hall, where former Member of Parliament Lutfor Rahman Kajol attended as the chief guest.
He emphasized the need for professional development in the restaurant sector to elevate Cox’s Bazar to international standards and suggested the establishment of a dedicated training center.
Imran Hossain, the Central Secretary General of the Bangladesh Restaurant Owners’ Association, spoke as a special guest. He highlighted that the restaurant industry has grown into a significant sector involving over three million people and stressed that its development is not feasible without state support.
The meeting announced the formation of a new executive committee. Mohammad Ali was elected President, Kamrul Islam as Senior Vice President, Javed Iqbal as General Secretary, Masud Alam as Treasurer, and Absar Uddin as Organizational Secretary.
