The Sahed-Ripa Gold Cup Football Tournament was inaugurated in Thayngkhali, Cox’s Bazar. Maeen Uddin Milki, the secretary of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association and a sports officer, officially launched the tournament and attended the event as the chief guest.

Notable individuals attended the opening ceremony, including Abul Kashem Kutubi, the general secretary of the Cox’s Bazar Referees Association, Coach Khaled Hossain, national footballer Salah Uddin Sahed, along with local players, officials, journalists, and referees.

Football teams from all over the district will compete in this tournament, which should significantly contribute to the promotion of sports and the growth of football among the local youth. It is a significant initiative for the development of football in the region.

In his opening speech, Maeen Uddin Milki said, “Such sports competitions are beneficial for the physical and mental development of the youth. We hope that more sports activities like this will take place in Cox’s Bazar.”

The Sahed-Ripa Gold Cup Football Tournament is expected to raise the standard of football in Cox’s Bazar, generate interest in the sport among local youth, and provide an opportunity for building interpersonal relationships among the younger generation.
