The star-rated and luxury hotels of Cox’s Bazar have decorated their lobby areas with festive Christmas themes in honor of Christmas, the most significant religious festival for Christians. Hotel lobbies feature Santa Claus figurines, Christmas trees, and gift bags under the trees.
Large “Merry Christmas” signs adorn the entrances, welcoming guests. Unique Christmas hats worn by hotel staff members further enhanced the festive atmosphere.
Hotels like Simon Beach Resort, Long Beach Hotel, Seagull Hotel, Hotel The Cox Today, Best Western Hotel, and Hotel Ramada, among others, have embraced this festive décor.
Hotel management teams revealed that while the decorations are part of their annual tradition, no special events are planned this year.
Cox’s Bazar, second only to Dhaka regarding its expatriate population, hosts many foreign residents working in NGOs and INGOs or visiting as tourists. The festive arrangements primarily aim to cater to these guests, making their Christmas celebrations in the beach city more joyful.
