There is no possibility of a cold wave hitting Cox’s Bazar, confirmed Abdul Hannan, Assistant Meteorologist at the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office.
Despite the chill in the air, it is expected to hover between 12°C and 15°C.
He also said that the temperatures may drop by 2-3°C this month, but the conditions do not indicate a cold wave.
Comparing this year to the previous one, he mentioned that January 2024 recorded a minimum temperature of 12°C, and a similar pattern is likely this year.
He further added that foggy weather might persist until January 5-6. However, the perceived cold could intensify if wind speeds increase.
