Disasters or massive sea waves often damage the coastal casuarina forests near Cox’s Bazar, causing trees to topple. While locals remove the upper portions of these fallen trees, the roots and lower parts remain buried in the sandy shores. Over time, the relentless waves sculpt these remnants into unique forms of natural beauty, transforming them into artistic driftwood. Hussain Shetu, a Cox’s Bazar Life photojournalist, captured these photos from the Himchari area.
