Under the theme “Let’s Change the Nation, Let’s Change the World,” the Youth Festival 2025 is in full swing nationwide, including Ukhiya Upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

As part of the celebration, a T10 cricket tournament was organized by the Upazila Administration.

On Monday (January 20), the final match of the tournament, featuring eight participating schools, took place at the Patabari playground near Ukhiya Sadar. Thainkhali High School emerged victorious, defeating Ukhiya Multipurpose Government High School by nine wickets to claim the championship.

Following the match, Ukhiya Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kamrul Hossain Chowdhury graced the event as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.

He said at the event, “There is no alternative to active youth participation in building a brighter future for our country.”

He also shared that the Youth Festival would continue until February 19, featuring various programs and activities.

Several notable guests attended the event, including Abul Hossain Siraji, Head Teacher of Ukhiya Multipurpose Government High School; Badarul Alam, Upazila Academic Supervisor; Mir Shahedul Islam Roman, Acting Chairman of Rajapalong Union Parishad; and Saiful Islam Sikdar, Convener of Upazila Jubo Dal.
