Although the peak tourist season is nearing its end, Cox’s Bazar remains bustling with visitors. Every day, thousands of tourists flock to the world’s longest unbroken sea beach, and on weekends, the crowd becomes even more overwhelming.
However, tourists must follow specific safety guidelines while bathing in the sea.
During winter, the sea remains relatively calm, making it safer for swimming. Red-and-yellow flags have been hoisted along the beach to indicate safe bathing zones. However, due to the cold weather, fewer people are seen entering the water in the early mornings.
Sea Safe Lifeguard services have designated three official swimming zones—Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points—where lifeguards actively monitor safety.
Authorities have warned that swimming outside these flagged areas can be dangerous and have urged all tourists to follow lifeguard instructions to ensure a safe beach experience.
